Ann Curry

Ann Curry was born in the US and works as a photographer and journalist. Over the past forty-five years she has focused her efforts on the reporting of human suffering, especially when natural catastrophes or war are occurring. Curry's mother was Japanese American and her U.S. Navy-sailor father played prominent roles within Curry's personal life. They met during the time their father was in Japan following World War II. As a result of her father's active military duty, the family travelled often. Curry was able to complete her high school studies at Ashland Oregon. Curry graduated from high school in 1978 and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism in the University of Oregon.
